The Empourium Sessions 2017

Our shows at the Brentwood Bay Village Empourium

Thanks to the generous support of the BC Arts Council, we are pleased to present extra shows for our summer concert series, co-hosted by the Brentwood Bay Village Empourium. Stay tuned for more information, as the shows are confirmed.

Aug 3 Bill Johnson

The  Vancouver Sun has listed Bill as one of the year's best, ranking him  with Colin James and Michael Kaeshammer. It's always a treat to hear  Bill in an acoustic show, and hear the stories behind the music. Tix  $19.50 + GST

Aug 24 Tom Richardson

Across  his number of album and DVD releases, Tom has collected numerous  Australian and international song writing and blues music awards,  including Solo Performer of the Year and Best Debut Album at  the Victorian Blues Music Awards, as well Best Emerging Artist awards at  the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Nannup Music Festival and Apollo Bay  Music Festival. He was also fortunate enough to receive the highest  number of nominations at the 2012 Australian Blues Music Awards and was a  recent finalist in the Vanda & Young Song writing competition,  Australian Song writing competition and APRA professional development  awards. If Bob Marley surfed his way across to Mississippi,  stopped in for a cup of tea with the devil before flying over to Fiji  for choir practice, you would be left with something that resembled Tom  Richardson. Watching him build a band onstage with his looping  technology is mesmerizing, but then add in his brilliant musicianship -  an amazing show! Tix info coming soon!

The Songwriter's Panel

Friday, June 2nd as part of the Brentwood Bay Festival, we presented 3 BC songwriters in a panel concert: Colleen Eccleston Karen Lee White, and host Leslie Gentile. This gave the audience a chance to hear the stories behind the songs, tips and tricks for songwriting, and enjoy the music.

The evening was a huge success, and the response  to the idea of more  panel concerts was overwhelming. So, stay tuned...we will certainly bring this back for the festival, and are considering another one during the year.

We thank  the BC Arts Council for their generous support which helped us make this happen.
