This event was such an overwhelming success, that we are definitely planning to do it again!
The first set was a good mix of songs and questions from the moderator to each musician. In the second set we opened up to questions from the audience, and a full & rich discussion followed. Great music, great questions, and great shared information.
8 a.m. in Pioneer Park by the Old School House, courtesy of the Central Saanich Lions. Always great food!
The parade started at Bayside Middle School at 10 a.m., headed down Wallace Drive and turns up West Saanich Rd, past the festival site and ended at the Roundabout. Best one yet!
We began at 11 with an Opening Prayer by John Elliott of the Tsartlip Nation to welcome us and start our festival.
This was the schedule on our stage:
11:05: Opening Ceremonies
11:15: Madison Olsen
11:45: Indian Bay Singers
12:30: Stelly's Secondary Jazz Band
1:15: The Ecclestons
2:45: Daniel Cook & The Radiators
On site we had mini golf, bouncy castles, games and activities for kids of all ages.
Tickles the Clown and her Clown Family was on site to entertain too!
The Peninsula Country Market joined our Vendor Market, so there there was lots of crafts, art work and fresh produce available.
