Our goal: A Performance Stage in Pioneer Park

After nearly 20 years of hosting performances and events on a series of 'temporary' stages in Pioneer Park, the Brentwood Bay Community Association is spearheading an initiative to build a permanent outdoor stage to be donated to the Municipality. The new stage will become a community gathering place for generations to come, hosting performances of all types – music, drama, lectures, family movie nights, workshops, yoga sessions, school performances, wedding ceremonies.. the possibilities are endless.

The park is already the site of Brentwood Bay's most popular and well-attended events. The Music In The Park series recently concluded its 17th successful year of presenting live music every Wednesday night throughout July and August. And the annual Brentwood Bay Festival in June has been a family favourite for almost 20 years.

The mandate of the Brentwood Bay Community Association is to create activities and events that bring the community together and to build community spirit. As a result, the creation of a permanent venue to host these and other events is the next logical step.

The stage will be funded and built 100% by donations and volunteers. No public funds have been requested. Working with a construction budget of $150,000, the Association has already raised nearly two-thirds of this amount from local businesses, associations, construction suppliers and private citizens.

We welcome your participation! All donations over $20 will be issued a tax receipt. All donations over $1000 will also be recognized in promotional materials for the opening of the facility and permanently on the BBCA website.

In addition, all donations over $5000 (bronze), over $10,000 (silver) and over $20,000 (gold) will be recognized on a permanent plaque to be mounted prominently on the new facility. As a result, they may be expensed as 'marketing' for corporate tax purposes.

We are so pleased with all of the feedback from our Open House on November 24th! All comments and input from those who came out was very positive and supportive of the design, location and plans. Construction is scheduled to begin spring 2017. We look forward to seeing you there!
